The University of Ghardaïa, in coordination with CRSTRA Biskra and the National Center for Seed Control and Certification (CNCC), hosted a media day on saffron cultivation. The event included a field planting of 1000 m² on campus, attended by representatives from scientific, academic, and technical institutions, including center and university directors, Ministry of Agriculture officials, faculty members, and CNCC staff. Workshops and coordination meetings discussed ways to develop saffron cultivation, presented successful field models, and included planting in the university's pilot field. This initiative supports CRSTRA's field efforts and the national strategy to develop saffron cultivation and diversify the economy.
