The official opening of the preparation workshop of the Algerian food security research and innovation strategic plan 2020-2030 organized by the DGRSDT, was animated yesterday by Professor Hafid AOURAG, General Director of the Scientific Research and Technological Development Center (DGRSDT) who presented on his own a conference on Innovation, agriculture and agri-food industry. During this conference, Professor Hafid AOURAG discussed the innovation as a disruption with the different theories and approaches to solve problems which are a priori of all fields and that technology is only a support to improve our lives but does not guarantee the food security. He also added that in this context of artificial intelligence and big data, innovation in agriculture is related to the sharing of the collected data having knowledge and also of soil quality that allow us to develop species. Moreover, the General Director talked about innovation outside the soil, where he referred to the constraints of identifying open spaces for agriculture and since we are in artificial agriculture field we must try to find the best possible identifier for the best yield especially for greenhouses. He also insisted on the correct manner to exploit when talking about renewable energy "energy from renewable sources". Finally, he discussed the Triz approach (resolution theory of inventive Problems) which is a heuristic approach in order to solve innovation problems, mainly technical ones.
